MacroGel CF‑SPPS microspheres are composed of our highly hydrophilic patented polymer, encapsulated within a robust, rigid, and inert exoskeleton. This protective architecture preserves the structural integrity of the polymer throughout peptide chain elongation, making MacroGel CF‑SPPS an ideal choice for continuous‑flow solid‑phase peptide synthesis (CF‑SPPS).
Although engineered specifically for CF‑SPPS, MacroGel CF‑SPPS performs equally well in batch reactors. The larger particle size also effectively eliminates common issues such as blocked reactor filters allowing for the use of porous mesh filters, with up to 500µm apertures, resulting in rapid filtration.
Traditional supports for SPPS with a loading of 1mmol/g will swell to around 10ml/g. MacroGel CF‑SPPS is a rigid polymer support, so we have targeted a loading of 1mmol/10ml to match tradional supports by bed volume. However, the loading can be readily increased or decreased according to customer requirements.
Particle size: 600-1200µm
